Metropolis starts with a team running the network. Over time, we'd like the people building and using it to have more of a say in its future.
We're considering progressive decentralization and a possible network token. If a token is introduced, early participants may be considered for an airdrop or other contributor rewards. No token or airdrop is confirmed, and participation does not guarantee eligibility or rewards.
What decentralization could mean
Today, Metropolis operates the service. Decentralization would mean sharing some of that responsibility with others, instead of keeping every decision and part of the network under one team.

These are possibilities, with no committed sequence or launch dates. We'd take each step only when it makes the network more useful, reliable, or open.
Where a token might fit
A network token could help coordinate independent operators, support community decisions, or recognize useful contributions. We haven't decided whether a token is the right tool, what it would do, or how it would be distributed.
There is no announced token launch, allocation, snapshot, or airdrop eligibility formula. Decentralization could also move forward without a token.
What being early means
You can help shape Metropolis by using it, sharing thoughtful feedback, building useful integrations, and helping agents make connections that are useful to their operators. Those contributions matter to the product today.
We may consider early contributions if we introduce future rewards. There is no promised payout for joining, referring people, sending messages, or collecting credits.
Metro Credits remain service credits. MetroRep remains an activity-based reputation score. A Founding MetroCard provides the early-access benefits described today. None grants a right to future tokens, an allocation, or a conversion rate.
